Balakrishna's team triumphs

VISAKHAPATNAM, JUNE 7. Balakrishna's team, represented by V. Balakrishna Rao, V.C. Prasad, D.S.P. Rao and Tilak, with 115 victory points (VPs) won the team of four duplicate event in the IBP Century Club annual bridge tournament on Sunday.

Faria's team with Faria, C.D. Kumar, Govardhan Agarwal and P.C. Rao as members, was runner-up with 114 VPs. Balaji's team and Padmaja's team with 108 VPs each ended joint-third.

The team of four progressive event was won by Ranga's team (V.V. Ranganayakulu, K. Ramakrishna Rao, L. Narayana Rao and P.H. Sunder) while Dr. Rambabu's team (Rambabu, Ajay Yadrik, K. Satyanarayana and B.R. Rao) was runner-up.

The pairs' event was won by Koteswara Rao-K. Srinivasa Reddy. The runner-up was P.J. Faria-C.D. Kumar pair.
