LONDON, JUNE 7 . Kim Clijsters of Belgium will not compete at Wimbledon this year due to a wrist injury, it was announced on Monday.
The world number two was also forced out of the French Open after failing to recover from a torn tendon.
"Now a cyst has developed on the left wrist that means that we can kiss Wimbledon goodbye," her coach Marc Dehous told VRT Radio.
Clijsters had been in good form until her injury, winning back-to-back tournaments in Paris and Antwerp.
