SEA ISLAND (GEORGIA), JUNE 8. The U.S. President, George W. Bush's National Security Adviser on Monday criticised the Arabic-language broadcaster Al-Jazeera for ``purely inaccurate'' reporting, suggesting the Qatar-based satellite station was presenting a biased account of developments in West Asia. Ms. Rice's complaint came as she and other administration officials defended their Arab-world guest list for this week's international economic summit here. Many key players in the region including Egypt and Saudi Arabia will not be attending, though efforts to promote democracy in West Asia are a key theme of this year's Group of Eight summit. The G-8 members will meet on Wednesday the leaders of Afghanistan, Algeria, Bahrain, Jordan, Turkey, Yemen and a representative of the Iraqi interim Government to discuss Mr. Bush's proposal for a broader West Asia initiative.
