Letters to the Editor
Sir, The United Progressive Alliance Government's decision to repeal the Prevention of Terrorism Act is laudable because the draconian law is an affront to the world's largest democracy. What is required is the effective enforcement of existing laws without fear or favour.
Aman Mohd Khan,
Sir, In a country like ours there is need for laws such as POTA. A responsible government should try and remove clauses which lend themselves to wrongful use rather than scrap the whole law.
Nanda Kumar Venkatachalam,
