Repealing POTA

Sir, — The United Progressive Alliance Government's decision to repeal the Prevention of Terrorism Act is laudable because the draconian law is an affront to the world's largest democracy. What is required is the effective enforcement of existing laws without fear or favour.

Aman Mohd Khan,
Aligarh, U.P.

Nanda Kumar Venkatachalam,
Hyderabad
