Lovers commit suicide

LUDHIANA, JUNE 8 . Two couples committed suicide by jumping before trains in two cases.

Two lovers jumped before in train near Ladowal village on Jalandhar road in Punjab. Their bodies were lying on the railway track and were spotted by the villagers. They, in turn, informed the Railways Police yesterday.

The identities of the bodies are yet to be established but both of them were said to be in their early 20s.

In another case in Lucknow, a 21-year-old youth jumped before a train due to his lover's death.

Police said Anup Kumar was in `love' with a teenaged girl. When the girl's parents reprimanded her for their relationship, she jumped before a running train in the Gomti Nagar area and died on the spot last evening. Following the same fate, Anup also jumped before a train on the same spot.

Police have registered a suicide case.
