NEW DELHI, JUNE 8. The Lok Sabha will have a Sikh Deputy Speaker when Charanjit Singh Atwal is elected to the office tomorrow. His election to the post comes within a month of the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) naming Manmohan Singh as Prime Minister. The ruling coalition had left the post open for the Opposition National Democratic Alliance (NDA) that today proposed Mr. Atwal's candidacy for the job.
