American shot dead

MANAMA, JUNE 8. Gunmen today shot dead an American in Riyadh. The U.S. embassy in Riyadh confirmed the killing.

The Arab TV news channel Al-Arabiya said the shooting took place in the Al-Khalij district, in the eastern part of the city. Two days earlier, an attack on a BBC TV crew, killed the cameraman, Simon Cumbers and seriously wounding correspondent, Frank Gardner.
