TRS sees no Left threat

By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD, JUNE 8. The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) sees no threat to the formation of Telangana State from the Left parties saying Uttaranchal, Jharkhand and Chattisgarh were carved out despite their opposition to them.

The Left could not stop the Telangana issue from figuring in the Common Minimum Programme (CMP) of the Congress-led coalition and the President's address to the joint session of Parliament, the TRS MLA from Ramayampet, M. Padma, the chief coordinator, M. Yadagiri Reddy, and other leaders said at a press conference here on Tuesday.

They said the CMP and the President's address were clear indication that Telangana State would be a reality "within months." Even while agreeing that a time-frame was not fixed for the formation of the State, they interpreted the words "appropriate time" in Dr. Kalam's speech as "matter of months."
