Jothikumaran is secretary-cum-treasurer of Olympic squad

CHENNAI, JUNE 8. The Indian Hockey Federation Secretary, K. Jothikumaran, has been named the secretary-cum-treasurer of the Indian contingent for the Olympic Games in Athens from August 13 to 29.

A former full-back of the Combined Universities team and a Tamil Nadu State player, Mr. Jothikumaran, has also been the Secretary of the Tamil Nadu Hockey Association from 1989.

Mr. Jothikumaran is a member of the Development Commission of the International Hockey Federation (FIH), and is in panel of the Competitions Committee of the Asian Hockey Federation.

He was a Technical Officer of the FIH at the last Champions Trophy in Amstelveen, and was the Organising Secretary when Chennai hosted the Champions Trophy in 1996.

Mr. Jothikumaran was also the manager of the Indian hockey team at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
