KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 8. The Collector, Sumita Dawra, said on Thursday that drinking water schemes worth Rs. 4.31 crores had been sanctioned during this summer in the district. At a review meeting here, she said 145 habitations in the district were being supplied water through tankers, and added that about 152 private wells had been hired for the supply of drinking water in 102 habitations. Ms. Dawra said 22.84 lakh litres of water was supplied everyday through 168 tankers doing about 571 trips. She added that all pending water transportation bills, worth Rs. 2.10 crores, had been cleared.
