Body of student recovered in Mangalore

MANGALORE JUNE 8. The police recovered the body of Durga Prasad (11), a fourth standard student of St. Rita's School, who was washed away in rainwater on Monday near a bridge at Nekkiramaru here on Tuesday. The police said Durga Prasad of Jaraganahalli on Kanakpura Road in Bangalore came to Mangalore a week ago to continue his studies. He was staying with his relatives at Valencia. He was returning home from school when the incident occurred. Though his friends tried to rescue him, Durga Prasad was washed away, the police added.
