Mangalore doctor attends meet in Croatia

MANGALORE, JUNE 8. Kishore Chandra Prasad, Head of the Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, was invited to deliver a guest lecture on "Laryngectomy: our experience" at the second international symposium on head and neck tumours and reconstructive laryngeal surgeries in Zagreb, Croatia, recently.

Dr. Prasad was one of the six international guest lecturers at the event, the others being Bruce Pearson, Professor, Department of Otolaryngology, Mayo Clinic, U.S.; Rudolf Hagen of Germany; Jean Louis Lefebvre of France; Davorin Daniae of Croatia; and Ethel Ruth Nuoez Valencia of Mexico.

The symposium was held under the aegis of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, Sestre Milosrdnice University Hospital, Zagreb, Croatia. Four universities of Croatia participated in it.

Dr. Prasad also participated in a panel discussion on "Selection of surgery for laryngeal cancer," according to a press release issued here on Tuesday.
