No water: Karnataka

BANGALORE, JUNE 8. The Karnataka Minister for Large and Medium-scale Industries, P.G.R. Sindhia, today ruled out releasing Cauvery waters to Tamil Nadu on the ground that the State is facing distress. Speaking to reporters after a Cabinet meeting, he denied that the Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, had requested Karnataka to release water.
