Temperature

MADURAI, JUNE 8. The city today registered a maximum temperature of 35.4 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 26.2 degrees Celsius.

Water level

The level in the Periyar dam stood at 112.80 feet, with an inflow of 387 cusecs. The storage was 1,360 mcft. The level in the Vaigai dam was 24.54 feet, with a discharge of 30 cusecs. The combined Periyar credit was 1,477 mcft.

The rainfall registered in various places (in mm) is: Periyar — 20, Kallandiri and Thaniyamangalam

— 19.2, Chittampattti

— 14.2, Tekkadi — 12, Uthamapalayam — 3

and Gudalur — 2 mm.

Grievances day

The Superintending Engineer, Madurai Distribution Circle, Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, will hold a grievances day meeting for consumers of the East Madurai Division at 11 a.m. on June 10, at the office of the Assistant Executive Engineer, South, Melur.
