Rain likely

today

Partly cloudy sky with chances of rain or thundershowers in parts of the city has been the forecast for Wednesday. The city on Tuesday recorded a maximum temperature of 36.0 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 24.4 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity stood at 48 per cent.

Handwriting

programme

A handwriting improvement programme will be held at the Literacy House, Andhra Mahila Sabha, on June 13 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The course is specially designed based on calligraphy, graphology and graphotheropy with scientifically proven techniques to make handwriting legible and aesthetic. Y. Mallikarjuna Rao, director, National Handwriting Academy, will conduct the course. Admissions will be on first come first serve basis. Gold medal

for painting

A 15 year old boy, T. Aswin Raj, of Hyderguda village, bagged gold medal for his painting `food to pet' at the recently concluded 11th international child art contest organised by the IE-NO Hikari Association, Japan. According to B.A. Reddy, president, Young Envoys International, 2,046 children from India took part in the contest. Of them, two got gold medals.

Fabricators

society formed

A non-profit body, Fabricators Society, has been launched for fabricators in the city. It seeks to be a platform for organisations to share technology transfer and cost-effective manufacturing techniques. Training

programme

The Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP) will organise a three-day training programme on medicinal and aromatic plants from June 16 to provide a platform for interaction among growers, bankers, dealers, industrialists and scientists. Notice to

college

Parents are cautioned against admitting their wards into M.S. Junior College at Moghalpura as it is not affiliated to the Board of Intermediate Education. G.R.K.V. Prasad Rao, regional inspection officer, Twin Cities, in a press release, said that the management of the M.S. Junior College had started an unauthorised junior college in Old City. A show-cause notice has been issued to close the college, he said.
