This Day That Age
"I am fully convinced that the Praja Socialist Party Ministry in Travancore-Cochin has tremendous popular support and, therefore, no political party will dare withdraw its support from it," declared Mr. J. B. Kripalani, Chairman of the party, in Indore on June 8. Mr. Kripalani was commenting on the recent statement of the Congress General Secretary, Mr. Agarwal, that the Congress would withdraw its support to the PSP Ministry in case the latter did not implement the reforms programme. Mr. Kripalani added, "So long as the people of Travancore-Cochin have faith in the Thanu Pillai Ministry and remain satisfied, the Congress dare not withdraw its support. No sooner do we realise that the people's support is not there, than our Ministry will go of its own accord," he added.
