CUDDALORE, JUNE 9. Three persons died and 30 others sustained injuries (all belonging to a marriage party) when a tractor-trailer collided with a lorry at Vadalur near here early today. It is said the marriage of Pyula Mary (19), daughter of Suvakkian of Karunghuzhi, and S. Amaladas (24), son of Chinnappan of Moyandikuppam near Panruti, was to be solemnised in a church. The relatives of the bridegroom went to the bride's place yesterday, and after having performed certain rituals, the bride set out in a car, and the guests in the tractor-trailer to Moyandikuppam. In the impact of the collision some occupants of the trailer were thrown out. Antony Samy (58) of Karunguzhi, Sundaram (40) of Ulundur and Savarimuthu alias Pandaram (65) of Azhagappasamudhram died on the spot.
