BJP's future

Sir, — On reading the article, "The BJP's past is not its future" (June 9), I was reminded of what South African scholar Jan Christiann Smuts said: "Leadership, besides being a great creative force, can be diabolical..." As the article rightly says, it is time for the BJP to retrospect. Instead of taking the Hindutva route, it could consider providing healthy and constructive criticism to the ruling party.
