IIM issue

Sir, — Corporations Rule the World is a book by David Korton, who argues how all governments are de facto "governed" by big business. The hype in the media on the IIM fee issue, in a sense, corroborates the argument.

Most universities controlled by State Governments have very little autonomy. Colleges, in turn, have hardly any autonomy over the courses to be started or the curriculum to be followed. Why so much noise over an issue pertaining to the elite institutions?
