Letters to the Editor
Sir, It is unfortunate that the Government is adopting double standards for determining the age of those who should be considered senior citizens. While the Railways has fixed the age-limit at 60 for travel concession, the Finance Ministry has pegged it at 65 for IT concession. The Government should lower the age-limit of senior citizens from 65 to 60 for IT exemption too.
