Isolated rain in T.N.
CHENNAI JUNE 9. Rainfall occurred at most places over Kerala, Lakshadweep and coastal Karnataka, at many places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and at a few places over Rayalaseema, Telangana and South Interior Karnataka. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu and North Interior Karnataka. The following stations recorded heavy rainfall in cms. Karwar 10, Udupi 9, Honavar 8 and Narasapur, Tirupathi Airport, Cannur and Sulya (Dakshina Kannada dt.) 7 each. The other chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cms are: Valparai, Karkala (Udupi dt.) and Bhagamandala (Kodagu dt.) 6 each, Panambur, Kota (Udupi dt.), Quilandy (Kozhikode dt.) and Agathy Airport 5 each, Nalgonda, Mangalore Airport, Ammathy and Virajpet (both Kodagu dt.), Kozhikode, Vadakara (Kozhikode dt.), Thalassery (Cannur dt.) and Amini Divi 4 each, Mani, Mulki and Sulya (all Dakshina Kannada dt.), Kundapura (Udupi dt.), Haripad (Alapuzha dt.) and Minocoy 3 each, Chennai Airport, Poondi and Thamaraipakkam (both Tiruvallur dt.), Naduvattam (Nilgiris dt.), Machilipatnam, Paleru Bridge and Kaikalur (both Krishna dt.), Mangalore, Subramanya (Dakshina Kannada dt.), Madikeri, Kozhikode Airport, Mannarkkad and Parambikulam (both Palakkad dt.), Kodungallur, Kunnamkulam and Chalakudi (all Thrissur dt.), Kumarkom (Kottayam dt.), Alapuzha and Mavelikara (Alapuzha dt.) 2 each and Cholavaram and Red Hills (both Tiruvallur dt.), Gudalur Bazaar (Nilgiris dt.), Repalle and Piduguralla (both Guntur dt.), Ramagunad, Bydagi (Haveri dt.), Madapura (Kodagu dt.), Kochi Airport, Pirvom (Ernakulam dt.), Tiruvalla (Pathanamthitta dt.), Kollam, Aryankavu (Kollam dt.) and Varkala (Thiruvananthapuram dt.) 1 each. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature fell appreciably at one or two places over Rayalaseema, south interior Karnataka, north interior Karnataka, interior Tamil Nadu and changed a little elsewhere over the region.
