Allianz Bajaj premium income up

CHENNAI: Allianz Bajaj Life Insurance Company has achieved a gross income of Rs. 220 crores in 2003-04. The company issued over 1.8 lakh policies, an increase of 60 per cent over the previous year. The total sum assured during 2003-04 was Rs. 2,481 crores. It has garnered nearly 60 per cent of the premium income from its newly launched Unit-linked plan. Bancassurance channel also contributed about 20 per cent, says a release.
