By Ramesh Susarla
GUNTUR,
JUNE 9.
The average price realised by farmers for flue cured Virginia tobacco (FCVT) during the auction in Andhra Pradesh this season has been Rs.38 per kg., while 85.14 million kg has been sold out of a registered crop size of 108.44 million kg.
The auction, which is entering the concluding stage, is likely to pick upin the coming one month with season likely to end by mid-July.
Early monsoon could force both traders and farmers to speed up the auction as the quality could be affected due to moisture.
