Lawson replaces injured Edwards
KINGSTON,
JUNE 9.
A hamstring injury has forced fast bowler Fidel Edwards out of the West Indies' one-day international cricket series in England.
Edwards strained a hamstring in the second and final Test against Bangladesh, which ended on Monday.
Jermaine Lawson, coming back from a long-term back injury, will replace Edwards in the 15-member squad, the West Indies Cricket Board said on Tuesday.
Lawson played in the opening Test against Bangladesh before being dropped for the second.
The one-day squad: Brian Lara (captain), Ramnaresh Sarwan, Chris Gayle, Devon Smith, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Ricardo Powell, Dwayne Smith, Dwayne Bravo, Darren Sammy, Ridley Jacobs, Carlton Baugh, Ian Bradshaw, Ravi Rampaul, Tino Best, Jermaine Lawson. AP
