AICC session likely at Tirupati
By Our Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD,
JUNE 9.
Tirupati could be the likely venue of the next All India Congress Committee (AICC) session, according to sources in the party.
The session is expected next month during the Budget session of the Assembly. Though a section of the APCC is interested in holding the session here, the AICC's choice seems to weigh in favour of the temple town.
Arrangements for the launch of the proposed mass contact programme of the Chief Minister, scheduled for June 13 from Chevella, to carry the message of `people-friendly-governance' are in full swing. The Chief Minister will begin his `yatra,' likely to be titled `Rajiv Praja Hitha Yatra', at 10 a.m. from Ranga Reddy district and cover about 150 km to reach the Malakpet constituency (rural).
It is learnt that the list of Rajya Sabha nominations from the State has been finalised during the two-day Delhi visit of the Chief Minister. It might reveal some surprises, it is said, though the sources refused to disclose anything about the choice.
