K-MAT on July 4 for colleges in State

BANGALORE, JUNE 9. The Karnataka Private Postgraduate Colleges' Association (KPPGCA) will hold the Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (K-MAT) on July 4 to admit students into the management quota MBA seats in 40 self-financing private colleges across the State.

The State Government had fixed a 50:50 ratio for sharing MBA and MCA seats with the managements. The Government's share of seats will be filled through a common entrance test to be conducted by the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU).

The colleges which will participate in the K-MAT are:

Acharya Institute of Management and Sciences, Al-Ameen Institute of Management Studies, Alliance Business Academy, Brindavan College, Christ College, C.N.K. Reddy College of Business Management, C.M.R. Institute of Management Studies, Dayananda Sagar College of Management and Information Technology, East West College of Business Management, Garden City College, Intech IBM, K.K.E.C.S. Institute of Management, M.P. Birla Institute of Management (Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan), Presidency College, R.K. Institute of Management Studies, R.R. College of Management Studies, R.J.S. Institute of Management Studies, R.V. Institute of Management Studies, Regional Institute of Cooperative Management, Sambhram Academy of Management Studies, Seshadripuram First Grade College, Surana College, T. John College, The Oxford College of Business Management, Vivekananda Degree College, C.M.R. Institute of Technology, Nitte Institute of Technology, The Oxford College of Engineering, K.L.E Institute of Management Education and Research, Belgaum; B.L.D.E. Association's A.S. Patil College of Commerce, Dharwad; KLE Society's Institute of Management Studies and Research, Hubli; Vijayanagar Institute of Management, Bellary; Srinivas College of P.G. Management Studies, Transformational Institute for Management Excellence, Mangalore and Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology, Davangere. Applications for the K-MAT test can be obtained on payment of Rs. 300 in any of the participating colleges from June 10. The filled-in applications should reach before June 30.

Centres

The test will be conducted at seven centres across the State. The centres are C.M.R. Institute of Management Studies, HRBR Layout, Bangalore; Dayananda Sagar College of Management Studies, Kumaraswamy Layout, Bangalore; Seshadripuram Education Trust, Nagappa Street, Bangalore; Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology, BIET campus, S.S. Layout, Davangere; Doddappa Appa Institute of MBA, Sharanabasaveswara College campus, Gulbarga; Vijayanagar Institute of Management, Veerasaiva College, Cantonment, Bellary and Srinivasa College of P.G. Management Studies, Srinivas campus, Pandeshwar, Mangalore.
