Bekele does it again

OSTRAVA (Czech Republic): Kenenisa Bekele of Ethiopia set his second world record in nine days at the IAAF Super Grand Prix Golden Spike meet on Tuesday. Bekele won the 10,000 metres in 26 minutes, 20.31 seconds to break the previous record of 26:22.75 set by countryman Haile Gebrselassie six years ago in Hengelo, the Netherlands.

Bekele let two pacemakers to set the pace for first four kilometres, then took the lead and breezed to victory with typical ease. — AP
