Allow the `doosra', says Sri Lankan board

COLOMBO: The Sri Lankan cricket board has urged the International Cricket Council to allow star off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan to bowl the `doosra', which has been dubbed as illegal. Sri Lanka Cricket President Mohan de Silva told a news conference that they have asked the ICC to ensure "justice and fair play" by allowing the ace bowler to bowl the `doosra' until further researches on spin bowling are complete. — AP
