Hope for rain brightens

Thunderclouds are likely to develop towards afternoon or evening in the city on Thursday. On Wednesday the maximum temperature was 35.6 degree Celsius, minimum 23.4 degree Celsius while relative humidity was 45 per cent.

Normal timings for museum

Salar Jung Museum will function as per normal timings from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. from June 12 and remain closed on all Fridays from June 18 in view of the completion of summer vacation. The museum was kept open till 7 p.m. on Fridays also for the convenience of visitors during the vacation.

Coaching for exams

Coaching-cum-guidance centre for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes under the Directorate of Employment and Training, will launch an 11-month special coaching programme for SC, ST

job-seekers on July 1.

Training will be provided to candidates appearing for competitive examinations under the Group `C' of staff selection and equivalent posts. Private educational institutions willing to impart training are asked to submit proposals to the office at ATI campus, Vidyanagar, on or before June 21.

Seminar on Windows 2003

Mango Marvel at Chef's Court

The Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Vidyanagar, is conducting `Mango Marvel (mango festival)' at Chef's Court, the students' training restaurant of the institute, from June 12 to 20. Office-bearers elected

Basheer Mohd. Khan, an advocate, was elected president of the Indian Council of Social Welfare at its general body meeting held here recently. P. Ramakrishna Reddy, Syed Naqi Mehdi and R. Jawahar were elected vice-presidents, M.A. Shukoor would be honorary general secretary and Roda Mistry, president emeritus, a press release said.

Footwear mela

`Expo' is organising a footwear mela at its Himayatnagar outlet till June 13. Men's footwear is available from Rs. 150 onwards, women's from Rs. 100 and kids from Rs. 30 onwards, according to a press release.
