MADURAI, JUNE 9. The Madurai Corporation Clerks' Association today urged the State Government to accord recognition to all employees' associations. The executive committee, which met here, also demanded the repeal of the Tamil Nadu Essential Services Maintenance Act (TESMA). Thanking the Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa, for having dropped all cases filed against the employees and teachers who went on strike last year, the association called for the restoration of benefits. Sanction of pension benefits to the employees on the date of retirement and filling of vacancies were the other demands.
