MADURAI, JUNE 9. The Mayor, C. Ramachandran, today inaugurated the Madurai Corporation's west zone office, which has been shifted to the Travellers' Bungalow from near the Periyar Bus Stand. Renovated at a cost of Rs. 40 lakhs, the office has all modern facilities. The Mayor inspected the construction of a hall for conducting zonal committee meetings, a seminar hall and a hospital on the bungalow premises. He instructed the officials to consider the request of councillors to have a separate room for them at the office.
