Corpn. office opened

MADURAI, JUNE 9. The Mayor, C. Ramachandran, today inaugurated the Madurai Corporation's west zone office, which has been shifted to the Travellers' Bungalow from near the Periyar Bus Stand.

Renovated at a cost of Rs. 40 lakhs, the office has all modern facilities. The Mayor inspected the construction of a hall for conducting zonal committee meetings, a seminar hall and a hospital on the bungalow premises. He instructed the officials to consider the request of councillors to have a separate room for them at the office.
