HYDERABAD, JUNE 9. Three attention diversion cases were reported in the city on Tuesday. Two youngsters aged about 21 years approached a housewife, Raza Jabeen, at Maddannapet saying that they would polish the jewellery. They put 11 tolas of gold ornaments in a bowl of hot water and asked her to remove the lid after 15 minutes. After the duo left, she opened the lid only to find the jewellery missing, the Madannapet police said. In the second case, three persons claiming to be CID officials took away two tolas of gold from a woman, Y. Mary Philomena, by diverting her attention on Tuesday. A resident of Renukanagar in Balkampet, the woman was walking on the road when the trio asked her to remove her jewellery stating that a woman teacher was murdered in the area, the Sanjeevareddynagar police said. They wrapped the gold in a paper and gave it back. On reaching home, the woman opened the packet and found the jewellery missing. In the third incident, K. Radha Devi (54), was robbed of three tola gold ornaments by two unidentified persons who diverted her attention, at Chikalguda crossroads. Two persons intercepted and warned her against wearing jewellery. They asked her to remove the jewellery, wrapped it in a paper and gave it back. On reaching home, Radha Devi, found the gold missing when she opened the packet.
