HYDERABAD, JUNE 9. Tirupati could be the likely venue of next AICC session, according to Congress sources. The session is expected to be held next month during the Budget session of the Assembly. Though a section of the APCC is interested in holding the session here, the AICC choice seems to weigh in favour of the temple town, it is learnt. Meanwhile, arrangements for the proposed mass contact programme of the Chief Minister, which is to be launched on June 13 from Chevella, to carry the message of `peple-friendly-governance' are in full swing. The Chief Minister begins his yatra, which is likely to be titled `Rajiv Praja Hitha Yatra', at 10 a.m. from Ranga Reddy district and covers about 150 km to reach the Malakpet constituency (rural). This programme is aimed at conveying the measures adopted by the new Government to alleviate the problems of people and instil confidence in them. This `Wednesday-Sunday' programme will continue for a quarter of a year initially to not only reach out to the people but also to sensitise the district administration to the problems of people. Meanwhile, there seems to be no likelihood of a full-scale expansion of the Cabinet as of now. A couple of nominated posts may be filled before the launch of the yatra and further expansion of Cabinet might be after the budget session. It is also learnt that the list of Rajya Sabha nominations from the State has been finalised during the two-day Delhi visit of the Chief Minister. It might spring some surprises, it is said, though the sources have refused to disclose anything about the choice.
