G.O. on minority status certificate modified

By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD, JUNE 9. In modification of its earlier orders, the State Government has permitted candidates seeking B.Ed admissions to obtain minority status certificate from the head of institution in the prescribed proforma in absence of transfer certificates.

The Government issued a G.O. in this regard following representations made by the Minorities Educational Rights Protection Committee that obtaining the school transfer certificate was difficult as it was submitted in junior colleges after SSC and obtaining a duplicate TC involved a big process.

After careful examination of the issue the Government issued fresh guidelines. The G.O. stated that the heads of institutions would be personally held responsible if any false certificate was issued.
