RTC workers to protest against transfers

HYDERABAD, JUNE 9. Employees of the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation will observe `struggle day' on June 17 all over the State to protest against long-standing transfers.

The employees would sport `red ribbons' while on duty, said M. Nageswara Rao, general secretary, RTC Transport Mazdoor Sangh, in a press release on Wednesday.

The protest was against the transfer of about 4,000 drivers, conductors, mechanical/security/ministerial staff.
