BANGALORE, JUNE 9. The "Blooming Bud" Nisarga Foundation said today that it would organise a two-day Nisargotsava 2004 at Dr. M.H. Mari Gowda Memorial Hall at Lalbagh here from Friday to mark the onset of monsoon. Nisargotsava 2004 is a festival of flowers. Apart from flowers, fruits and vegetables on display, there will be Ikebana, western and Dutch flower arrangements. Gardening techniques and equipment will also be on display. Visitors can witness Hana Mandala, offering flowers to Buddha, on the occasion. The foundation was established in February 2004 as a non-governmental organisation. It aims at alleviating poverty, promoting environmental awareness, and inculcating the principles of nature for happiness, peace and prosperity.
