NEW DELHI, JUNE 9. In view of the Olympic Torch Relay, the Delhi traffic police have imposed some traffic restrictions in the Capital on Thursday. Commuters have been requested to avoid Connaught Place, Janpath and other nearby areas from 5-30 p.m. to 6-30 p.m. and north-bound carriageway on Ring Road from Bhairon Road to Shanti Van between 4-30 p.m. and 5-15 p.m. They have also asked motorists to avoid roads and intersections when the Olympic caravan passes. At T-junctions, from where the Olympic Torch would pass, right turn would not be allowed. Besides, invitees to the function at the National Stadium have been asked to park their vehicles bearing yellow labels behind the water channel between `C' Hexagon and Man Singh Road near India Gate. Shuttle buses have been arranged for ferrying them to the stadium and bringing them back to the parking lot.
