By Our Special Correspondent AHMEDABAD, JUNE 10. The Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Praful Patel, has ordered the suspension of all works on developing the Ahmedabad airport as an international airport. The works that barely began a year ago following efforts by the Chief Minister, Narendra Modi, were ordered stopped by Mr. Patel on grounds of "inconsistency.'' Mr. Patel, who visited the airport today, said the distance of more than 2 km between the domestic and international terminals would cause much inconvenience to the passengers. Besides, there was no further expansion scope in the design.
