Good inflow into reservoirs

SHIMOGA, JUNE 10. The water level in the Linganamakki Reservoir — the main feeder of the Sharavathy Hydel Project — has been rising steadily following incessant rains in the catchment area.

It stood at 1751.40 feet on Thursday against the maximum level of 1819 feet. The inflow of water was 2812 cusecs and the discharge of water from the reservoir was 1812 cusecs. The level in the reservoir this day last year was 1726.50 feet.

The level of the Bhadra Reservoir has shown a rising trend. It stood at 114.7 feet against the maximum level of 186 feet. Its level stood at 105.01 feet this day last year

The taluka-wise rainfall received in the last 24 hours was: Bhadravati (18.2 mm), Hosanagar (135.6 mm), Sagar (105.5 mm), Shikaripur (47.4 mm), Shimoga (26.4 mm), Sorab (68.8 mm) and Tirthahalli (91.8 mm).
