Fernandes promises support to Mulayam

NEW DELHI, JUNE 10. The National Democratic Alliance convener, George Fernandes, today promised full support to the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Mulayam Singh Yadav, whose Government is under pressure following the Congress MP, Rahul Gandhi's criticism on the law and order situation in the State.

"All the strength which is required will be there to support Mulayam," Mr. Fernandes said when asked to comment on Mr. Gandhi's remarks. However, "the NDA has not discussed the issue yet," he added.
