NEW DELHI, JUNE 11. While refraining from targeting the Mulayam Singh Government in Uttar Pradesh, the Union Home Minister, Shivraj V. Patil, said today that he too had received ``a number of complaints'' from the State concerning the law and order situation. Mr. Patil's brief comment on Uttar Pradesh came on a day when the Congress president, Sonia Gandhi, visiting her Lok Sabha constituency, Rae Bareli, blamed the successive non-Congress governments for the alleged lack of development and poor law and order situation there. The controversy over the ``deteriorating'' law and order situation was sparked off by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi's criticism of the law and order situation in the State during a visit to Amethi, his Parliamentary constituency, earlier this week. Asserting that the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government would continue the dialogue with separatist groups in Jammu and Kashmir, Mr. Patil said a third round of dialogue with the Hurriyat Conference could be held in early July. ``We will continue the dialogue with the Hurriyat Conference. It can be scheduled either in the first or second week of July, depending upon the Hurriyat's convenience.''
