Providing an opportunity for growth

Chennai Trade Centre, the proud venue of ACMEE 2004, the sixth International Industrial Exhibition was agog with activity as the visitors started trickling into the venue since 10:00 a.m.

Heavy and light machinery mostly relating to the automobile industry had business visitors enquiring about the latest technology in the offing.

Electronica Machine Tools Ltd., manufacturers of EDMs, wire cut EDMs and trade in imported CNC machines are here for the second consecutive time.

On display for the first time is PUMA 240L machinery used manufacturing automobile and engineering components.

Mitutoyo South Asia P Ltd., are participating in the exhibition for the third time and are the manufacturers of precision measuring equipments to check the surface roughness and the roundness of the automobile components. They also deal with micrometers, verniers and dial indicators.

Mr Ganesan of Mitutoyo said that the response during the previous show was positive leading to an enhanced customer database.

He also stated that, "Apart from the new customers, the existing customers are interested in knowing the latest available technology and since the machinery is also displayed a demo at the venue is also possible. We are very certain to come here again for the 2006 exhibition."

With the automobile industry experiencing a boom, Chennai is now seen as a potential market offering export opportunities also. Gedee Weiler P Ltd., manufacturers of lathe for turning applications and manual & CNC machinery, based at Coimbatore has participated in the previous exhibitions and seems to have had a very good response all throughout.

Mr V C Rajeshwar of Fanuc India P Ltd., says, "Fanuc India P Ltd is a subsidiary of Fanuc Ltd., Japan which is involved in manufacturing CNC machines, industrial robots and robomachines."

Says Mr Akhilesh Suresh of Fanuc India P Ltd., "We are here for the first time as part of image building exercise and to make a corporate presence. This exhibition would provide us an opportunity for having one-to-one business interaction with prospective clients and hope to participate in the next exhibition too."

The venue that is of international standards and the meticulous organization of the organizers has received a good reception from both the exhibitors and the visitors alike.
