No power

COIMBATORE, JUNE 11 . There will be no power supply in the following areas between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on June 14 owing to maintenance work at Madampatty substation: Madampatty, Kuooanur, Karamadai, Sennanur, Alandurai, Eruttupalam, Semedu, Poondy, Siruvani, Deverayapuram, Naraseepuram, Thindamuthur, Kulathupalayam, Dhaliyur, Sundapalayam, Kalikanaickenpalayam, Theethipalayam, Kalampalayam, Pachapalayam, Perur, Perur-Chettipalayam and Goundanur.

Meet

ING Vysya Mutual Fund and ING Vysya Financial Services will organise a High Network Individuals (HNI) investors meet at Hotel Residency on June 12. The meet will have presentations from the Chief Investment Officer, Ashim Syal on `Equity Markets' and Santhosh Kumar, Director, Debt Markets, from ING Vysya Mutual Fund.

BSNL fiat

The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has requested subscribers sending cheques by post for payment of telephone bills to enclose the counterfoil of the bill or mention details such as bill number and telephone number on the back of the cheque to ensure correct accounting of the amount paid, a release said.

Application

The district administration has called for applications for hostel facilities from deserving students belonging to Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes, minorities, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes.

Applications can be obtained free of cost from the warden of the hostel close to their institution or from the office of the District Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Officer.

School students should submit filled-in forms to either the warden or the welfare officer by June 30, and college students before August 31.

The annual income of the parents of these students should not exceed Rs. 50,000 and the distance between their home and the hostel should be at least five kms. School students between Class IV and Plus-Two only are eligible for hostel accommodation.

Grievances meet

The Coimbatore Corporation will conduct a grievances redressal meeting for the people of wards 53 and 55 on June 15 as part of the Mayor's Public Grievances Redressal Programme to provide core municipal services to the public.

The meeting will be held at the Selvapuram Boys Primary School, a release has said.
