ATNK&K wins title

BANGALORE, JUNE 12. Andhra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka & Kerala (ATNK &K) Area won the Army Southern Command handball championship, beating 36 Infantry Division 39-23 in the final played at the MEG & Centre Stadium here on Friday.

Sanal Kumar scored seven goals for the winner while Rajesh Kumar scored six for the vanquished.

Ten army teams — ATNK&K Area, MG&G Area, 41 Artillery Division, 36 Infantry Division, 12 Corps, 21Corps, 11 Infantry Division, 12 RAPID, 31 Armoured Division and 54 Infantry Division — participated in the five-day tournament.
