SP fields Jaya Bachchan

NEW DELHI, JUNE 12. The Samajwadi Party today nominated actress Jaya Bachchan as its Rajya Sabha candidate from Uttar Pradesh.

The party general secretary, Amar Singh, and the Parliamentary Party leader, Ram Gopal Yadav, announced the names of five candidates, including Ms. Bachchan, at a press conference here.
