Two killed in accident

KOLLAM, JUNE 12. In a head-on collision between a car and a container lorry at Kottarakara on the Kollam-Shencotta National Highway this afternoon, two natives of Chirayinkeezhu in Thiruvananthapuram district were killed. They have been identified as Kumar (36) and Sidharthan (45).

While Kumar died on the spot, Sidharthan died at the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital.

Another person, who was in the car, identified as Dileep, a native of Kollam, has also been admitted to the MCH in a critical condition. The car was on its way to Kollam from Kottarakara and the lorry was proceeding in the opposite direction when the mishap occurred.

The Kottarakara police have registered a case.
