Army official calls on YSR

HYDERABAD, JUNE 12. The Commander of Andhra Sub-Area, U.W. Deshmukh, called on the Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, at the Secretariat on Saturday.

Brig Deshmukh extended an invitation to Dr. Reddy to inaugurate the annual Civil-Military Liaison conference at the Sub-Area headquarters. The latter agreed to it, a press release said.

The senior military official explained the activities at the headquarters to Dr. Reddy and expressed a desire for close interaction between the State Government and armed forces.
