This Day That Age
Mr. Jaya Prakash Narayan, Praja Socialist leader, said in Bombay on June 11 that Sampattidan, as conceived by Acharya Vinoba Bhave, would be the first step towards the conversion of capitalism into "the non-violent and just society of the future, in which everyone lives for all and all for everyone." Addressing a meeting under the auspices of the Bombay and Suburban Bhoodan Samithi, he said the Sampattidan movement, which expected everyone to contribute "a part of his income or expenditure" for his fellowmen, would go a long way in realising Gandhiji's idea of trusteeship.
