Letters to the Editor
Sir, This refers to the editorial, `Don't vacillate on Iraq' (June 12). The External Affairs Minister, Natwar Singh's recent remarks in Washington come as a complete shock to those who expect a more balanced and independent foreign policy from the United Progressive Alliance Government.
Prasenjit Sen,
Sir, Why should Indian blood be shed to bail out the U.S. when its own allies have now got cold feet? The invasion of Iraq has backfired, its rationale has been exposed as fraudulent, and the Security Council fig leaf utterly fails to cover the shame of a violated U.N. charter.
Vasantha Surya,
