Depression crosses Orissa

BHUBANESWAR, JUNE 13. Heavy rain continued to lash the coastal areas of Orissa as the deep depression over the north-west Bay of Bengal crossed the coast near Puri around noon today, Meteorological Office sources said. The deep depression was presently lying centred on land close to Puri. Under its influence, widespread rainfall with scattered heavy-to-very heavy rain was likely to occur over north Andhra Pradesh and Orissa coast during the next 24 hours, the sources warned. — PTI
